About the Event
Please save the date, Tuesday, April 14, 2026, for the YoungArts New York Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in the spectacular Temple of Dendur. Nearly 250 of New York City’s cultural and community leaders, philanthropists and artists will gather for an unforgettable evening in support of YoungArts. The program will feature inspiring performances by past YoungArts award winners directed by Caleb Teicher (2011 Dance), a New York City–based dancer, choreographer and director widely regarded as a leading voice in interdisciplinary collaboration.
The Arison Award will also be presented to a renowned artist in recognition of their significant contributions to the cultural landscape, a distinction that has previously been bestowed upon renowned artists such as Debbie Allen, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Terence Blanchard, Camille A. Brown, Misty Copeland, Teresita Fernández, Josh Groban, Tarell Alvin McCraney, Andrew Rannells and Kerry Washington.
Past New York Gala Honorary Chairs include Derrick Adams, Debbie Allen, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Misty Copeland, Agnes Gund, Salman Rushdie, Anna Deavere Smith, and Vanessa Williams. With décor by Raúl Àvila, the visionary designer behind the Met Gala, the evening promises to be truly extraordinary.
