Student List Service

Each year, YoungArts receives over 7,000  applications from the country’s most accomplished high school artists, ages 15-18 or in grades 10-12 across 10 artistic disciplines: Classical Music, Dance, Design Arts, Film, Jazz, Photography, Theater, Visual Arts, Voice and Writing. When completing their YoungArts application, students have the opportunity to share their contact and application information with esteemed universities and conservatories who participate in the Student List Service (SLS). 

YoungArts applicants represent a diverse group of racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds from all 50 states. In 2021, the applicant pool included 9.70% who self-identified as Black non-Hispanic, 37.79% White non-Hispanic, 26.78% Asian/Pacific Islander, 11.71% Hispanic, 0.19% Native American or Native Alaskan, and 8.63% Multiracial.

YoungArts’ Student List Service (SLS) partner institutions will receive the following:

  • Detailed contact information for each YoungArts applicant, YoungArts award winners, and U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts nominees and awardees.
  • The ability to filter applicants in various ways, including age, artistic discipline, award level, gender, school and geographic location.
  • Electronic access to view applicants’ audition videos, films and visual arts/design/photography portfolios, which provide important information about their artistic abilities.
