The 2024 YoungArts New York Gala took place on Monday, April 8, 2024 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in the spectacular Temple of Dendur. The evening brought together cultural and community leaders, artists and philanthropists all in support of YoungArts as we identify and nurture the most talented young artists across the nation.
Emceed by Grammy- and Tony-nominated actor and singer Michael McElroy (1985 Theater), the evening included an elegant cocktail reception and seated dinner designed by Raùl Àvila, event designer of the Met Gala.
Choreographer and dancer Amanda Krische (2012 Dance & U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts) and musician, composer and multidisciplinary artist Samora Pinderhughes (2009, 2010 Jazz) co-directed and curated inspiring performances that featured YoungArts winners, highlighted intergenerational community and expressed the power of interdisciplinary collaboration.
