About the Event
YoungArts invites educators to join us for YoungArts Los Angeles: Showcase, a free student matinee featuring an original interdisciplinary performance, artist conversation and YoungArts presentation at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. This special event is designed for high school students and educators across all art forms, especially students interested in exploring creative careers, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the many pathways available to young artists.
During the showcase, students will experience new interdisciplinary works created by YoungArts award winners (2022-2026) during an intensive 3-day residency at The Wallis. They will also learn more about the YoungArts National Arts Competition, resources and opportunities for lifelong artistic engagement and best practices for submitting a strong application. Following the performance, students will engage in a moderated conversation and Q&A with participating artists and members of the YoungArts community.
Admission is free, but advance registration is required. Please email education@youngarts.org to register.
Space is limited to 150 attendees per showcase, so we encourage schools to register early. If your school needs supporting documentation to secure approval or arrange bus or shuttle transportation, please contact education@youngarts.org.
