About the Event
2022 YoungArts Artist Fellow Roderick George (2003 Dance & U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts) presents a work-in-progress showing of The Missing Fruit.
First conceptualized during the most recent Black Lives Matter protests, The Missing Fruit examines the experiences of Black and indigenous people and people of color, particularly addressing their struggles to combat oppression, death, financial insecurity, and health vulnerabilities while making space for Black joy to thrive.
This event is presented in partnership with the RBF Culpeper Arts & Culture program and YoungArts.
