About the Event
For many young people, applying to YoungArts may be the first step in affirming “I am an artist.” Artists ages 15–18, or grades 10–12, in the U.S. are encouraged to apply in the discipline of their choice. All applications are evaluated by esteemed discipline-specific panels of artists through an adjudication process that includes multiple rounds of review.
The 2027 YoungArts application opens on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
YoungArts is the only national organization that champions artists throughout their lifetimes and across all art forms, fueling the ongoing vitality of the arts nationwide. YoungArts empowers artists with lifelong access to critical resources, including funding, incubation and presentation opportunities, mentorship, and professional development, beginning with early recognition as YoungArts Award winners. Through an intergenerational and interdisciplinary network of 24,000 artists, YoungArts cultivates community and drives innovation, collaboration, and career-defining opportunities.
