About the Event
This summer, YoungArts is opening its gallery to four local YoungArts winners. We’re excited to share our gallery space during this three-month residency, allowing the artists to create new work or continue pursuing ongoing projects. Each artist will receive a dedicated portion of the gallery for workspace and an artist honorarium. During the residency, each artist will activate the space with a public event specific to their practice and participate in programming opportunities.
James Kaun Balo (2018 Visual Arts & U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts), David Correa (2017 Visual Arts), Nichole Caridad Hernandez (2020 Visual Arts) and Isabel Oliva (2017 Visual Arts) were selected through an open call to all YoungArts award winners currently residing in South Florida.
