YoungARC

YoungARC is an introductory program for 15-18 year-old artists just entering the YoungArts community.

YoungARC offers a comprehensive introduction to financial basics through EverFi, an online financial education course. To further support participants, we also provide online office hours—interactive group sessions where artists can ask questions and explore these concepts in greater depth.

2025 YoungArts winners will be the first to experience this program.

Financial ​Literacy for New YoungArts Winners

This newly updated financial literacy foundations course teaches students how to make informed financial decisions that promote financial well-being over their lifetime. The interactive lessons translate complex financial concepts in ways that help students develop actionable strategies for managing their finances. We consider this course as an introduction to financial literacy as it is geared for 15-18 year olds, and serves as a good lead in for the workshops in VirtualARC.

  • The Everfi course comprises 11 modules that each take ~20 mins to complete. 
  • You can go at your own pace, starting and stopping as you need, and there are short quizzes at the end of each module.  
  • Once you’ve completed the course, you will receive a certificate, you will need this certificate to complete your YoungArts registration.   
  • We ask that you complete the course and registration by April 30, 2025 to receive your award check.

To Start:

  • All 2025 award winners will receive an email with instructions on how to register and start the courses.
  • Once you create an account, you will automatically be directed to your assigned class.  
  • You can immediately begin the course!
  • We ask that you sign in and start the course by February 15, 2025.

Office Hours

In addition, we are offering office hours, 90-minute Zoom sessions during which you can join to ask any questions you have regarding the course and topics covered.  We recommend you send questions ahead of the meeting, but you can also submit them during the sessions.
